Property Solutions undertook the invoicing and collection of service charges for our client, and currently collect in excess of £5m pa from over two hundred tenants.

Description

Property Solutions was instructed on a portfolio of 78 properties throughout the UK.

Ourclient was not a traditional landlord but had tenants resulting from having spare space as a consequence of historic business restructuring.  Their accounting and administrative arrangements were configured to the core business rather than being property focussed.

Process

We worked alongside our client to ensure that the data needed to support service charge certification could be established from their accounting, facilities and utilities records. Each tenant’s lease was examined in detail to determine the correct allocation of costs to the service charge.

In 2005 we took on the invoicing and collection of service charges, thus streamlining the service provision and also adding collection and administrative arrangements for sub tenanted locations.

Results

We are currently collecting over £5m pa from over two hundred tenants.
