Age: 33
Job Title: Service Charge Consultancy Manager
How long have you been with the company? Seven years
Background:
I previously worked for Bath Council as a Building Surveyor where I carried out surveying activities on a diverse range of buildings including schools, listed buildings, industrial warehouses, retail units, and other community buildings. I was responsible for managing repair budgets, designing, specifying and procuring refurbishments as well as carrying out schedules of condition, dilapidations and other typical surveying activities.
Job role:
I am a key account manager for clients and responsible for the service charge consultancy which is one of the four divisions within PSL. I am responsible for leading and developing project teams to co-ordinate a variety of commissions that require a strategic and multi-disciplined approach.
In addition to the above, my role also involves providing timely advice to clients and representing them in negotiations on service charge matters.
Working at Property Solutions:
I work very closely with the PSL teams, in particular the service charge consultants that I manage on a day-to-day basis. I find my position challenging and thrive on the variety as no day is ever the same. I enjoy meeting and interacting with a wide range of people, in particular discussing technical issues relating to buildings and the management of service charges.
What’s it like to work here:
I find it exciting to work for a company that is at the forefront of the service charge industry, challenging existing practices. There is a strong team working environment at PSL, which provides opportunities to learn from each other with mutual benefits to our clients. We are very performance driven and work in-line with PSL to achieve the company’s objectives.
In my spare time:
I am a committed member of my local church and enjoy meeting up to socialise and worship. I have four young children and spend much of my spare time having fun with them.
