Following a decade as a town-planning consultant, Christopher has worked
in corporate real estate since 1984. He started IPD Occupiers in 1994 and
has overseen its growth and development since then. IPD is now the market
leader in the field of performance measurement for occupiers with records
for over 50 million square metres of space from over 600 estates in UK,
Ireland and France. IPD publishes the award-winning International Total
Occupancy Cost Code.
He leads many of IPD Occupiers’ most important projects. These include the
Property Benchmarking Project for the whole Civil Estate of the UK
Government. The innovative analysis includes costs, space, user satisfaction,
sustainability and building operability indicators. This project builds on the
experience IPD has gained with all 160 UK universities, measuring their
property performance. He also directs the firm’s work with 450 British
further education colleges. |
Christopher is Director of Occupier.org and has previously been a board
member of the RICS Corporate Real Estate Group and CoreNet Global UK
and founded the Society of Property Researchers’ Occupiers Group.
